Alan Reeves - Projects

What projects does Alan Reeves get involved with?  More than he should, but here are a few:

  • Woodturning - Alan has a nice, Powermatic 3520 which means he can turn a bowl about 20 inches in diameter and a spindle about 35 inches long.  His favorite part about that lathe is the weight and the amazing variable speed drive (2hp, 230V I might add)
  • Internet marketing - He is in the process of launching a niche site, something he have been wanting to do for a long time after reading so much about Pat Flynn over at SmartPassiveIncome.com.
  • Graphic design - Since you can never have too many projects going on at once, for the past several months, he has been writing an ebook guide to QR codes.  He's doing the design work himself (which has been a major challenge, but very fun) and hopes to launch it in July 2013
  • General PC repair - having grown up with a computer since 4th grade (with a Commadore 64 no less...), he tend to do well working on computers.  Alan started out with a 286 with two 20 Meg hard drives (that is Megabyte, not Gigabyte... and they were 5 1/4" drives).  Prodigy was the thing to have and you got 5 emails a month, then you had to pay extra.  Ahhh... the not-so-good-old-days.
Since this next project deserves its own page, click here to read about Alan's journey to reach 1st on Google.
